Dual Energy Line Scan Cameras

Hamamatsu offers a new high-speed and high-resolution dual energy X-ray line scan camera which can be used to effectively differentiate materials in a variety of non-destructive testing applications. Using a commercial frame grabber board, the 12-bit digital output enables easy connection to a computer or other external instrument. Acquired images and data can be easily processed and provide a high-resolution and high-contrast image, with a wide dynamic range.

Using a combination of scintillators, filters and gain allows the user to optimise the set-up for different objects and X-ray conditions. Therefore, this is a very flexible solution which can be used in a diverse range of applications from low to high energy, including mineral sorting, drug or weapon detection and food inspection.
